Maison & Objet : À la carte talent

From the 20th to 24th of next January, the Villepinte Exhibition Centre will host the Maison & Objet fair, an international platform dedicated to design and the home which closed its September edition with an increase of 2.7% in the number of its visitors. The event will celebrate as part of its Talents à la Carte program (Hall 7) the work of six emerging designers: Cyprien Chabert, Eric Charles-Donatien, EON, Pool, Laurent and Victoria Wilmotte Segretier. A selection process that was entrusted to Armand Hadida, founder and artistic director of L’Eclaireur.

 

Other names in fashion will also be present as the show, hosted by France’s leading trade fair organizer SAFI, is expected to be the scene of the international launch of Roberto Cavalli’s line for the home by Carrara Design. The space "Objet de Mode" located in Hall 6, and measuring 1,260 square meters in area, will also serve as a bridge between fashion and the home with 70 exhibitors, most of them French, presenting their collections of bags, jewelry, and ready-to-wear.

 

The most recent edition of the Maison & Objet fair attracted about 54% French visitors and 46% international ones. The visitor number comprised 64% distributors and 36% buyers for a total of almost 3000 exhibitors.


It should be noted that Paris des Chefs, launched in 2009, which brings together great international Chefs and designers of all provenances, will be held for the first time right in the heart of Paris at the Maison de la Mutualité theatre.

Unowhy unveils QOOQ touchpad at 2012 International CES®

QOOQ, the first touchpad of its kind in the field of gastronomy, which has been developed by Unowhy of France, will be launched in the English-language market at the 2012 International CES®.  The trade event, which is the largest international consumer-technology trade show, will take place from 10 to 13 January 2012 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre, in Las Vegas (USA).

 

“In creating QOOQ, we wished to link a technological innovation to a premium content dedicated entirely to the culinary world. QOOQ is positioning itself as a multi -media cooking coach that teaches, advises, helps, and adapts itself to its user," explains Jean-Yves Hepp, inventor of QOOQ and Chairman of Unowhy.

 

The QOOQ pad developed by Unowhy introduces high-quality culinary content and a panel of interactive services that simplify cooking. The company will showcase its innovative technology in English on Stand 36272 at the 2012 International CES® trade fair in Las Vegas in mid-January.

 

The QOOQ pad, the first touchpad to be made in France, is equipped with a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 double-heart processor, which affords powerful and rapid browsing. The hardware has been designed so that it may be used in a kitchen without risk: it is resistant to water splashes and food spatters; its screen can be cleaned with a sponge; its feet are non-slip; and, finally, it has waterproof buttons. As well as its culinary content, the 10-inch QOOQ touchpad offers the multimedia functions of standard touchpad devices, including internet browsing, video-clip technology, MP3, email, photography, and weather-forecast data.

 

The QOOQ pad, gives access to more than 3,500 recipes presented in different forms — 1,500 of which are in video format — as well as dedicated interactive services, such as the meal planner and the automatic shopping list.

 

More than 100 French chefs of high renown were involved in the creation of the QOOQ content, such as Guillaume Gomez, Assistant Chef at the Elysée Palace, the official residence of the French President, and Takeuchi Hisayuki, who has cooked for the Emperor of Japan and works at Le Kaiseki, the famous Japanese restaurant in Paris. In its English-language version, the QOOQ’s touchpad content will be adapted to the different markets targeted by Unowhy, while being complemented by the international chefs’ recipes.

 

The content and services proposed by QOOQ can be personalised, in line with the user’s dietary preferences and priorities: it can be adapted to the tastes of each person by, for example, banning certain foodstuffs, or limiting the number of calories contained in a meal. Moreover, the quantities in recipes adjust themselves automatically in proportion to the number of guests, and family recipes can be added or shared.

 

In addition to the QOOQ pad, the platform of content and services proposed by QOOQ is also available on connected media, such as computers, other touchpads, smart phones and connected TVs.

Frankreichs Nautikbranche mit an Bord

Auch dieses Jahr stellen sich ein Dutzend Ausrüster und Konstrukteure auf der Messe ‚Boot 2012‘ vor

Die französische Nautikbranche zählt rund 46 000 Angestellte und erwirtschaftete letztes Jahr einen Umsatz in Höhe von rund fünf Milliarden Euro. Während der vergangenen zehn Jahre verzeichnete die Branche ein jährliches Wachstum von sechs Prozent. Der Wirtschaftskrise hat sie getrotzt, indem sie auf Innovationen und nachhaltige Entwicklung setzte.

Auf der kommenden Ausgabe der ‚Boot‘, werden Segelhersteller, Ausrüster, Designer und Konstrukteure ihre neuesten Entwicklungen präsentieren, darunter Katamarane, Yachten und Superyachten.
Zu den Neuheiten zählt auch eine platzsparende Lösung für überfüllte Häfen: eine mit Ketten und Reifen ausgestattete Amphibienyacht. So werden auch zahlreiche Schutzplanen für Zubehör, Brücken, Segel- und Motorboote vorgestellt sowie schwimmende Modulsysteme für Hafenanlagen. Die Reparatur und Herstellung elektronischer Elemente gehören ebenso zum Angebot der ausstellenden Unternehmen wie ein umfassendes Sortiment für die stylishe Innenausstattung: Geschirr, Bettwäsche und Dekorationsartikel.  

Vom 21. bis 29. Januar 2012 stellen sich die französischen Unternehmen in Halle 7a (Superyacht) und in Halle 11 (Ausrüstung) vor. Unterstützt wird der französische Gemeinschaftsstand vom französischen Verband der Nautikindustrie (Fédération des Industries Nautiques, FIN), der 80 Prozent der Branche repräsentiert.

La regione Nord – Pas de Calais rinnova la sua partecipazione

17 aziende francesi raggruppate sotto lo slogan « Welcome to Northern France », parteciperanno all’edizione 2012 di Fruit Logistica, il grande salone europeo della frutta e della verdura fresca e della logistica associata a questo settore. Dall’8 al 10 febbraio 2012, gli espositori provenienti dalla regione Nord – Pas de Calais presenteranno i prodotti tipici della loro terra : patate, indivia, mele, pere, germogli di soia, insalate pronte per il consumo e carote. Anche le competenze regionali in materia di packaging e di logistica occuperanno un posto d’onore. Grazie al posizionamento al Pad 22 Stand F14 che si estende su una superficie di oltre 400 m², la regione Nord – Pas de Calais conta di conquistare con la sua offerta un buon numero di professionisti del settore tra gli oltre 56.000 visitatori provenienti da più di 130 Paesi.

 
La regione Nord – Pas de Calais situata nel cuore dell’Unione Europea, in una posizione strategica raggiungibile in poche ore da Londra, Bruxelles o Parigi, può vantare molti punti di forza : occupa il terzo posto nella classifica delle regioni agroalimentari francesi con un fatturato che nel 2011 ha raggiunto gli 11,5 miliardi di euro. Nel Nord – Pas de Calais, si coltivano soprattutto patate che rappresentano circa 1/3 della produzione nazionale, cipolle (secondo posto nella produzione nazionale), indivia (primo posto nella produzione a livello nazionale) e cavolfiori (terzo posto nella classifica nazionale).
 
Tra le novità che verranno presentate quest’anno nel padiglione che ospiterà la regione Nord – Pas de Calais, quattro sono particolarmente meritevoli di attenzione:
·         una nuova carta « di qualità garantita », proposta dalla società T&B Vergers, che certifica la tracciabilità della sua frutta dal luogo di produzione fino all’arrivo nel circuito distributivo.
·         la società Verduyn presenterà due nuovi vassoi per carote, declinati nella pratica confezione a barchetta o in P-Plus da un chilo, oltre ad una nuova gamma di carote sbucciate con il coltello. 
·         La società Bayard presenterà la sua produzione di patate di altissima qualità e proporrà un packaging innovativo compatibile anche con la cottura nel forno a microonde.
·         Negonor introdurrà sul mercato una nuova gamma di patate biologiche particolarmente indicate per preparare patatine fritte di eccellente qualità e gustosi purè di patate.
 
Per la gioia dei visitatori, uno chef di prim’ordine si esibirà quotidianamente in una dimostrazione pratica dei tanti modi per portare in tavola i prodotti della regione Nord – Pas de Calais.

Louis Vuitton is going to launch a new perfume

Louis Vuitton ’s return to perfume

Louis Vuitton confirmed on Thursday, January 5th, the rumors circulating last October about the preparation of a Louis Vuitton perfume. This will not, however, be the brand’s first eponymous perfume to be marketed.
In the 1920s and 30s, Louis Vuitton launched several scents dubbed, respectively, Eau de Voyage, Je tu il, and Heures d’Absence. None of these have endured the test of time, even though Eau de Voyage had, for instance, been re-issued in 1980.

The story today is quite different: Louis Vuitton is almost the only luxury brand not to have invested in the area of fragrance, which is a field rich in potential and so representative of accessible luxury for a great number of people.

To ensure the success of this project, Louis Vuitton has entrusted it to one of the greatest master perfumers Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, born in Grasse, whose father and grandfather were both perfumers before him. His resume boasts a long list of successful fragrances such as L’Eau d’Issey, Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, Dior Addict, Poème by Lancôme, Stella by Stella McCartney, Cinéma by Yves Saint Laurent. He was the recipient of the François Coty award in 2004 in recognition of his olfactory achievements. 



The task is certainly immense, and the pressure great. The label did not communicate any dates as when it plans to market its first fragrance. However, it did indicate that the fragrance will be available in the brand’s 461 stores worldwide.

방문객 수가 20,000명을 넘는 스마트카드 & 보안 박람회(CARTES & IDentification)는 국제적 영향력을 증명하며 그 어느 때보다도 중요한 디지털 보안 및 스마트 기술 분야 국제행사로 자리매김했다.

스마트카드 & 보안 박람회는 성황리에 개최되며 그 어느 때보다도 이 부문의 주요 국제행사로 자리매김했다. 컨퍼런스부터 세서미스 어워드(SESAMES Awards), 수많은 부스를 통해 이 행사는 혁신과 역동성을 겸비했다. 보다 늘어난 방문객과 더불어(2010년 18,768명에 비해 올해는 19,513명으로 증가) 올해 행사는 이 전문분야의 높은 기대를 다시 한 번 충족시킬 수 있었다. 올해의 성공에 힘입어 카르테(CARTES) 팀은 이미 다음 행사일을 발표했다. 다음 행사는 파리 노르 빌팽트(Paris Nord Villepinte)에서 2012년 11월 6일부터 8일까지 개최된다.

역동적인 시장을 반영하는 스마트카드 & 보안 박람회

이번 박람회에는 45개국 출신 430개 출품업체와 19,513명의 방문객이 참여하고 방문객의 69%는 프랑스 외 국가 출신이었으며 143개국을 대표했다. 이를 통해 이 행사의 국제적 영향력을 확인할 수 있었다.

3일간 개최된 박람회의 21개 세션에는 1,225명이 참가했으며 이들 중 87%는 프랑스 외 국가 출신 전문가들이었다.

주요 업계 이슈가 상세히 논의되었으며 특히 모바일 결제 및 금융서비스(근거리무선통신(NFC)와 비접촉카드), 결제의 미래, ‘클라우드’ 생태계 내 보안, 멀티애플리케이션, 판매시점/상호작용시점, 전자정부에 대한 세션이 큰 성공을 거두었다.

여느 해와 마찬가지로 이번 컨퍼런스 세션의 백미는 ‘세계카드정상회의’(World Card Summit)의 개막회의였다. 이 개막회의 때는 500여명의 참석자로 가득찬 회의장에서 업계의 주요 지도자들이 주요 시장 트렌드를 분석하고 각자의 전략적 비전을 제시했다. ISIS(AT&T, T-모바일(T-Mobile), 버라이즌 와이러스(Verizon Wireless)간 합작사업) 최고기술책임자인 스콧 물로이(Scott Mulloy)는 유럽 최초로 기조연설에서 모바일결제에 대한 이 회사의 비전을 발표했다. 한편 유로스마트(Eurosmart)는 2011년 예비전망과 세계시장전망을 내놓으며 2012년에 13%의 성장률과 70억대의 스마트 보안기기 판매를 예상한다고 밝혔다.

올해의 화두는 모바일결제와 NFC 애플리케이션

방문객들은 모바일결제를 위한 비접촉 기술의 활용과 NFC 터미널의 도래를 인식하고 있다. 실제로 이 행사 때는 오버추어(Oberthur)의 NFC 자동차나 NXP의 전기자전거 등 부스에서 다수의 시연을 볼 수 있었다. 모바일결제관에서는 모바일결제, 거래관리, 신뢰된 서비스 관리자(Trusted Service Management), 스마트폰, 태블릿 및 그 외 스마트 모바일 기기 관련 솔루션을 공급하는 12개 회사가 한데 모였다. 

정부 보안과 전자보건 관련 다수 프로젝트

개인정보 보호는 호황을 누리고 있으며 출품업체들이 선보인 신원 및 인증 기술은 여러 문서(생체여권, 전자신분증, 전자운전면허증, 건강보험카드 등)에 적용된 바 있다.
올해는 ‘스마트헬스전시회’(Smart Health Exhibition)에서 보건서비스의 질과 환자의 편익을 도모하는 한편 사기와 보건비용 증가를 방지하는 전자건강기록, 건강보험카드 그리고 원격의료를 위한 애플리케이션까지 선보이며 전자보건 부문이 큰 주목을 받았다.

기술적 우수성에 대한 보상, 세서미스 어워드

2011년 세서미스 어워드 시상식이 프랑스자동차클럽(Automobile Club de France)에서 300명의 귀빈이 모인 가운데 성대하게 개최되며 올해의 수상자들이 발표되었다.

르아브르 항만이 한국을 만나다

2011년 12월 12일부터 14일까지 질 푸르니에(Gilles Fournier) 감사위원장, 로랑 카스탱(Laurent Castaing) 이사회 대표, 에르베 코르네드(Hervé Cornède) GPMH 영업/마케팅부장을 포함한 르아브르 항만 대표들은 한국에서 아시아 고객들을 만난다. 이 만남을 통해 이들은 르아브르의 여러 강점을 공유하고 한국과 강한 유대관계를 형성할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 
  
르아브르, 프랑스 시장의 선두주자이자 유럽으로 통하는 관문
르아브르 항만은 유럽에서 규모가 두 번째로 큰 소비시장인 프랑스로 연결된다. 북유럽 진입시 제1의 컨테이너선 기항지이며 항만 이용고객들은 특별히 매력적인 수송시간 혜택을 본다. 예를 들어 부산에서 르아브르까지 30일, 르아브르에서 부산까지 34일이 소요된다.

한국과의 수출입 거래에 유리한 주요 강점
뛰어난 선박 사용조건, 연중무휴 24시간 접근 가능, 조수 제약 제로, 대중교통 시스템 개발 등은 경쟁력 있는 화물정보시스템(CCS)(AP+)과 더불어 르아브르의 최대 강점이다. 상품의 세관통과시간은 평균 8분 이내이며 98%의 경우 화물의 물리적 검색 없이 통과한다. 르아브르 항만은 ISO 28000 인증을 유럽에서 첫 번째로, 세계에서 두 번째로 획득한 항만공사이다.

한국과의 파트너십 증대
최근 몇 년 간 무역은 증가일로에 있다. 2008년과 2010년 사이 한국과 프랑스 간의 컨테이너선 운송량은 60% 증가했다. 2011년 7월부터 한-EU FTA가 효력을 발휘함으로써 이러한 추세는 지속될 것으로 보인다. FTA 체결로 인해 향후 5년 내 농업 및 산업 생산품의 관세장벽이 철폐되게 된다. 기아자동차는 프랑스시장 진출을 위해 르아브르 항만을 선택했다. 2011년 르아브르를 통과하는 이 회사 자동차는 20,000대를 넘어설 것으로 보인다.

르아브르 항만을 위한 뉴딜
2011년 5월부터 효력을 발휘하는 프랑스의 항만 개혁이 르아브르에서 성공적으로 실시되면서 터미널의 전적인 개인적 사용이 가능하며 생산성이 최대 20% 증가하고 항만공사는 임대주 역할을 수행하게 되었다.

컨테이너선과 로로선 무역 관련 르아브르 종합계획
탑 박스(Top Box) 계획의 목표는 2015년까지 프랑스 내륙지역발 수송량을 2백7십만 TEU까지 증가시키고 서유럽발 환적량을 1백만 TEU까지 증가시키는 것이다. 2014년에 완공될 예정이며 다양한 교통수단을 포함하는 터미널을 통해 유럽 내륙지역으로의 하천 및 철도 교통 서비스가 최적화될 것이다. 이 터미널 투자액수는 1억3천9백만 유로에 달한다. 로로 맥스(RO-RO MAX)는 품질개선을 위한 협력활동으로, 2015년까지 르아브르 선박 수를 연간 500,000대에 이르게 하는 것이 목표이다.

지속가능한 개발의 유럽 선두주자 대열에 선 르아브르
청정 해상운송을 위한 친환경선박지표(ESI)를 준수하고 세계항만기후이니셔티브(WPCI)에 서명함으로써 환경정책 실시에도 모범을 보이고 있다. 또한 항만공사는 탄소발자국을 측정하고 있다.

Mission découverte des marchés belges et néerlandais des biotechnologies médicales (les 22 et 23 mars 2012)

Cette mission impliquera la visite du cluster néerlandais de Leiden, et du science park belge de Louvain-la-Neuve.

Comptant sur l’appui de pôles de compétitivité français pour le recrutement des participants, le déplacement d’une délégation française sur des clusters belges et néerlandais permettrait aux participants de rencontrer des partenaires commerciaux potentiels (distributeurs locaux, CRO, sociétés pharmaceutiques disposant d’une activité en biotechnologies médicales) et de visiter des centres de recherche ciblés en fonction de leur segment d’activité.

Les sociétés prioritairement sollicitées côté français seront :
- des sociétés actives dans le secteur des sciences de la vie, disposant d’une spécialité en biotechnologies
- des CROs (Contract Research Organisations) / Sociétés spécialisées dans la réalisation d’essais cliniques (phases I, II et III) Contexte marché Les Pays-Bas et la Belgique disposent ensemble d’atouts manifestes dans le domaine des biotechnologies médicales. Côté néerlandais, une centaine d’entreprises est exclusivement dédiée à la biotechnologie médicale, contre seulement une vingtaine en 1995. La plupart de ces sociétés se regroupent autour de pôles d’expertise, entraînant la concentration géographique de la moitié des entreprises de biotechnologies dans les villes de Leiden, d’Amsterdam et de Groningue. Ce marché dispose de nombreux acteurs dynamiques, à l’exemple des sociétés Crucell, Octoplus, Pharming, Pepscan et Galapagos. La Présence de « diversified life sciences companies » comme DSM, Akzo Nobel et le groupe anglo-néerlandais Unilever, stimule par ailleurs de manière permanente la demande en innovations dans ce secteur d’activité aux Pays-Bas. Autre atout de ce marché, marquant une particularité culturelle, la présence de Partenariats Publics Privés (PPP) constituant un pilier de taille visant une concordance entre la recherche scientifique et la demande commerciale. Ces PPP reçoivent à la fois le soutien financier du gouvernement néerlandais et des grandes entreprises du secteur. Les quatre principaux PPP (Top Institute Pharma, Netherlands Genomics Initiative, Center for Translational Molecular Medicine, et Bio Medical Materials) disposent d’un budget de plus d’un milliard d’euros sur la période 2008-2012, un investissement unique au monde.

A l’image du voisin néerlandais, la Belgique constitue, elle aussi, un territoire propice au développement des biotechnologies médicales avec 150 sociétés actives dans ce secteur. A elle seule, la Belgique concentre 10% des dépenses européennes de RD en biotechnologies médicales. Après une période de croissance accélérée dans les années 2000, l’heure est aujourd’hui à l’agrégation des start-up et la recherche de partenariats. Le moment semble propice à la rencontre des voisins français du secteur. Le tissu institutionnel des biotechnologies se découpe selon une logique fédérale, le cluster Biowin étant dédié à la partie wallonne, tandis que le cluster FlandersBio rassemble les acteurs flamands. La mission découverte proposée se déroulera sur le science park de Louvain-la-Neuve, l’un des plus réputés du pays. La journée à Louvain la Neuve comprendra incluera des rencontres avec des prospects potentiels, ainsi que la visite de sites significatifs.

Im Zeichen des Lichts: Frankreichs Sommertrends 2013

Auch wenn die Situation sich noch nicht komplett stabilisiert hat, trotzt die französische Textilindustrie der Krise. Die Zahlen sprechen für sich: Gegenüber dem ersten Halbjahr 2010 verzeichnete die Branche im ersten Halbjahr dieses Jahres ein Plus von acht Prozent. Französische Exporte von Web- und Wirkware nahmen gegenüber den ersten neun Monaten des letzten Jahres um drei Prozent zu. Im Laufe des gleichen Zeitraums erreichten die französischen Textilexporte nach Deutschland über 666 Millionen Euro – ein Plus von sechs Prozent. Deutschland bleibt damit der drittwichtigste Abnehmer der französischen Textilindustrie nach Italien und Spanien.

Der Sommer 2013 steht im Zeichen des Lichts. Bei den Woll- und Baumwollstoffen dominieren sowohl sehr helle Farben (‚nude‘, grau, cremefarben, blassrosa oder helle Khakitöne) als auch leuchtende Farben oder farbenfrohe dunkle Töne wie tiefblau, kastanienbraun, violett und grün. Auch Taupe-Farben wie ziegel- und bordeauxrot, kastanienbraun oder whiskeyfarben werden den Ton angeben. Charakteristisch für diese Saison sind die Wisch-Technik und auch Ergänzungen und Überlagerungen, sowie das Vermischen  gegensätzlicher Materialien, Bilder und Register. Besonders im Trend ist der Mix zwischen Technologie und Natur: Die Mischung zwischen natürlichen Fasern (Baumwolle, Wolle, Mohair, Seide) und synthetischen Materialien erzeugt eine ‚künstliche Natürlichkeit‘. Dabei erzeugen fließende, grafische oder dreidimensionale Effekte minimalistische und lebhafte Muster. Zudem verleihen Bänder und Streifen den Stoffen eine raffinierte Schlichtheit. Häufig vorzufinden sind zwei- und dreifarbige Variationen. Davon heben sich Unigewebe ab, die unterschiedlich verarbeitet sind: leicht, engmaschig und geschmeidig, elastisch, geflochten, in Pikee, Waffel- und Wabenmuster oder auch im Doppelgewebe.
Hervorzuheben sind auch die Sandkrepp-Variationen sowie reliefartige Oberflächen, wie sie bei Gaufrierungen, Knitterstoffen oder Seersucker vorzufinden sind. Und doch treten immer wieder die sanften und schlichten Seiten hervor: So runden gelegentlich satinierte und glatte Stoffe oder gemangelte Leinenstoffe die neuen Stoffkreationen ab. 
Charakteristisch für das Spiel mit Licht und Farbe sind Verzierungen und Designs mit Farbfüllungen oder aufgehellten Konturen, partielle Auswaschungen, unvollständige Kolorierungen sowie Streifen und Karos mit verschwimmenden oder grafischen Effekten. Für die nächste Sommersaison haben die französischen Unternehmen sich einiges einfallen lassen. Optische Täuschungen, Designs jeglicher Größe und Aufdrucke mit belebtem Hintergrund unterstreichen den kreativen Ansatz.
Die Ergänzungen spiegeln sich in ihrem gesamten Facettenreichtum wider: Durch Kaschierungen, Komplett- oder Teilbeschichtungen, die Verschmelzung der Gegensätze Uni und Bedrucktes sowie durch Überdruckeffekte und Gemische aus Tier- und Pflanzenfasern, werden Klassiker aus allen Genres und Bereichen modernisiert und abgewandelt.
Die Trends im Bereich Seide und Druckstoffe sind von den Kulturen der Welt und der Antike inspiriert. Im Fokus stehen hier Stoffe aus Naturmaterialien mit antiken Motiven und griechischen Mustern. Auch der Western-Stil mit seinen groben Webstoffen sticht hier hervor sowie folkloristische Jacquardstoffe mit Motiven der Wüstenflora und -fauna. In ihren Farbtönen erinnern sie an Terrakotta, gegerbtes Leder und das satte Grün von Kakteen. Im Gegensatz dazu stehen die leichten, luftigen Stoffe, seidenweich und in verwaschenen Pastelltönen oder gebleichten Farben. Dieser Trend ist die Synthese aus Romantik und Futurismus, eine Mischung aus Poesie und Science-Fiction. Die Sixties werden mit einem Augenzwinkern gewürdigt: Pflegeleichte Stoffe in Primärfarben (Leinen, Web- und Wirkwaren, kariert, gestreift oder mit spielerischen, blumigen Motiven) beschwören den eleganten, entspannten Esprit der Promi-Badestrände herauf.
Organisiert wird die Teilnahme der französischen Unternehmen vom Fachverband Tisslaine-France Promotion in Zusammenarbeit mit der Agentur zur Förderung der Textilindustrie, Espace Textile, und mit der Unterstützung des französischen Staatssekretariats für Außenhandel sowie der Region Rhône-Alpes.

9 French companies discover the automobile sector in India (4th to 7th January 2012)

The French Trade Commission in India and UBIFRANCE, in partnership with the Indo French Chamber of Commerce – South India Chapter, received a delegation of 8 French companies involved in the Automotive Sector, that included Tier I suppliers like Hutchinson, Pernat Emile etc.

These companies took part in a collective mission organized in Chennai (on the 4th and 5th January) and Delhi (6th and 7th January). In Chennai, they met and visited Renault Nissan plant and Natrip’s (Global Automotive Research Center) facilities. They also had B2B meetings to meet leading companies from Chennai’s automotive cluster. The visiting delegation was highly appreciative of the program organized by our team.

The second part of the collective mission took place in New Delhi. On Friday, 6th January, the French delegation accompanied His Excellency Mr. François Richier, Ambassador of France in India, on French OEMs and equipment manufacturers’stalls at Auto Expo 2012. The delegation also visited some Indian manufacturers, including Mahindra & Mahindra, and then split in order to visit the rest of the exhibition and meet the contacts which UBIFRANCE had beforehand selected.

The delegation then reunited for a round-table on automobile sector in India, with a focus a Gujarat, which was very interactive and interesting thanks to the participation of experts from various backgrounds. The day ended with a networking dinner.

Finally, Saturday was dedicated to the visit of 2 manufacturing units: first the plant of MARUTI SUZUKI in Gurgaon, one of the main OEMs in India, then the plant of INERGY in Manesar, a French equipment manufacturer established in India.

All 9 companies from the delegation have been delighted of their mission with UBIFRANCE, for the organization of the mission as well as for the interesting persons they have met all along.
